Story
After finding out he needs to obtain a legitimate college degree from America, Jeff Winger (Joel McHale) enrolls at Greendale Community College for ease and convenience. Little does he know that he will actually have to do some work. After creating a fake study group to hit on Britta Perry (Gillian Jacobs), a girl he met in the cafeteria, he finds himself leading five more people including Abed Nadir (Danny Pudi) who has Aspergers syndrome, the over-the-hill baby boomer Pierce Hawthoron (Chevy Chase), the high-school has-been Troy Barnes (Donald Glover), the divorced Shirley Bennet (Yvette Nicole Brown), and the fragile Annie Edison (Alison Brie) although he doesn't know a word of Spanish. The study group bonds and becomes a "community", and after Jeff fesses up about his lack of Spanish knowledge, the group still sticks together to make it through the year.
